Hi, I’m TORI ALAMAZE.

Mother. Artist. Author. Activist.

Tori Alamaze is a multi-hyphenate creative whose talents continue to unfold in a way that divinely aligns her with her purpose. The Atlanta, GA native began her artistic journey as a celebrity makeup artist working alongside iconic figures from TLC, Destiny’s Child and Xscape to Brandy, Usher and Faith Evans.

The mastery of painting faces inspired Tori’s gift for using words to paint pictures in listeners minds as a singer-songwriter. In 2004, her emotionally compelling voice led to her being a background vocalist on Cee-Lo’s album The Soul Machine. The same year, Tori toured with Outkast as a singer and dancer, performing on stages that included The Grammys, the Brit Awards and the NBA Allstar game. She also contributed background vocals to Outkast’s Grammywinning project Speakerboxx/The Love Below.

Tori’s artistry was rewarded when she signed with Cee-Lo’s Radiculture Records with an announcement that appeared in Vibe magazine and booked shows in Hawaii and Sweden. As she was @inishing her debut album that included features from Mobb Deep and Cee-Lo, Tori released the single “Don’t Cha” that generated a strong buzz on radio airwaves across the country. Its success was eclipsed when the record was given to the Pussycat Dolls and made famous, an unfortunate scenario that reoccured in Tori’s career with another female artist. As a result, her 2006 release was scrapped; her resilience tested.

Over the years, Tori would not only birth a series of children’s and young adult books (The Soil Is Good, A Girl’s Survival Guide to Womanhood: Quotes to Grow & Go!), but also a new life mission when she had two pregnancies that resulted in pre-term births due to IC (incompetent cervix). Tori underwent the expensive medical procedure needed in order to have a full term pregnancy and delivery. After suffering three losses, in 2014, Tori welcomed a healthy baby girl.

In perfect harmony with the Universe, Tori has returned to her roots of narrating eternal truths via emotionally compelling lyrics that are both cathartic and centered in self-love. On Magick, Blessings & Bullsh&$t, the poetically-charged songstress demonstrates higher ideals as well as embraces invention, balance and vision. There are compositions that help catapult listeners into an advanced spiritual state, while others have a you-can-catch-thesehands vibe, respectfully.

This essential soundtrack is as intentional as they come. From the mystical title to the vibrational energy of the production, every aspect of MBB has meaning. Says Alamaze, “Magick is being wise enough to follow an impulse then witnessing a positive result of following that impulse. When things are really clicking!”

Tori is the unsung hero for a generation of younger artists. From professional to personal battles, the brilliant creator has overcome every challenge with poise and grace. In other words, Tori is taking no bulls&$t as she spreads her magick and blessings with the world.

“I write for women & Girls who don’t even exist yet, so that there is something there for them when they arrive.”
